Frequently asked questions

How much smaller does it get?

Scans shrink a lot in strong mode; text PDFs only lose a few percent even in light mode.

Will the text disappear?

Strong mode turns pages into images, so text is no longer selectable or searchable. Use light mode to keep it.

Does it change my original file?

No — the original stays as is and a smaller new file is saved.
